Himachal Pradesh Tourism also famous as Dev Bhumi is famous for its beautiful landscapes and hill stations. State is famous for many adventure activities along with sceniv views.
Himachal was famous for Pilgrims upto few spiritual temples till 19th Century. At british time, many other hill stations like Shimla , Dharamshala, Manali, Etc gor recognition in state as famous tourist spots.
Himachal Pradesh Tourism got boost when Shimla a small hill station in Himachal Pradesh got declated in 1864 as “The Summer Capital of India”. After Indipendence, many people got intrested in investments in Shimla which resulted in mass movement of hoteliers and other tourism people. Shimla got major boost in 80’s and 90’s due to craze of snow fall and snow covered mountains in people.
In late 90’s people started showing there intrest in other destinations of himachal Pradesh tourism such as Manali, Leh, Dharamshala, dalhousie, etc.
Earlier Himachal was famous as summer destination for people around the globe due to its weather and temprature conditions. From past few years Tourism department of Himachal Pradesh have been working on increasing foot fall in himachal tour packages during other seasons as well.
Tourism department took many steps like starting adventure activities, openning new trekking points , etc for tourist comming to himachal without disturbing existing ecology and environment.

With name Mata Kalika Devi, Mata Mansa Devi, Mata Naina Devi, Mata Chintpurni, Mata Chamunda Devi, Mata Kangra Devi. Sikhism, himachal provides holly dip in sulphur hot water of Manikaran Saheb Gurdwara as it is believed that it cures many type of skin diseases. It is also believed that Guru Nanak Dev Ji Visited this gurdwara in 1574 with his followers.
About History
Himachal has history of numerous palaces, temples and forts build in traditional himachal pradesh culture. Some famous places like Bahadurpur fort in Bilaspur, Kangra fort in kangra, jubbal palace in jubbal. Others like padam palace in Rampur, Chail palace in Chail, jandrighat palace in dalhousie.
